Stroopwafel Cheesecake Recipe in 10 easy steps

Just because the pics of our Stroopwafel Cheesecake on our Instagram have the most amount of likes… We’ll share this secret recipe with you. Now is the time to impress everyone in your environment with the most beautiful and most delicious cheesecake ever existing!!!! Ingredients:
This what you need for the crust:

  • 1,5 cups of grounded stroopwafel crumbs
  • 6 tablespoons of melted butter
  • 2 stroopwafels, chopped in small pieces

For the filling:

  • 2 pounds of cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup of white cane sugar
  • 1/4 cup of brown cane sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 eggs
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of real vanille extract

For presentation:

  • 1/4 cup of stroop
  • 4 chopped stroopwafels, any shape you like most

The 10 easy steps:
Step 1: Preheat the oven at 350 degrees and put all ingredients on the countertop to warm up a little.

Step 2: Mix the grounded stroopwafel crumbs with the melted butter, grease the cake pan, add the crumble mixture into the pan and press firmly with a glass, bottom of measure cup or your hands into the bottom of the pan. Bake the crust 10 minutes at 35o degrees.

Step 3: In the meanwhile beat the cream cheese with the salt and sugar until you’ve reached creamy, ‘cloudy’ consistancy.

Step 4: When your crust is ready tae it out of the oven and spread the 2 chopped stroopwafels on it. Because the crust is still hot, the syrup in the stroopwafels melts in the crust and the stroopwafel bits enhance the structure and flavor of the crust heavenly. Set aside to cool off.

Step 5: Mix vanilla, sour cream and cinnamon in the cream cheese batter.

Step 6: Beat in eggs, one by one, only add the next when the previous is fully mixed in.

Step 7: Scrape down batter from sides of the mixing bowl, use a spatula, beat everyhting a couple of times with all remnants of the sides and bottom of the bowl, to make sure everything is beautifully silky and creamy mixed, then poor it into the cake pan on top of the crust with the stroopwafel bits.

Step 8: Bake the cheesecake approximately 50 minutes until the outer cake is browning, but the inside is still jiggly.

Step 9: Keep the cheesecake in the opened oven to cool off 30 minutes before heating up the stroop and covering the top with the stroop and the stroopwafel bits decorations.

Step 10: Cool off completely in the fridge.
