Milkshake with small stroopwafels

Stroopwafel (vegan) milkshake

A stroopwafel milkshake?!

This is our newest addiction. And the awesome part, it's so easy to make vegan milkshakes these days!

Here in Austin we’re super lucky with Nadamoo Ice cream right in our backyard. I usually opt for Nadamoo banana caramel ice cream or the salted caramel, but you can use any type of your own favorite ice cream. Usually banana, vanilla, peach, cookie dough, caramel type of flavors work best!

Ingredients and supplies

  • High glass
  • Blender
  • ⅓ cup of milk, oat milk is by far the best choice from a sustainability point of view
  • 1 ½ cup of your fav ice cream, this one is with Nadamoo Banana Caramel crunch
  • 1 tablespoon Vegan Stroopwafel Syrup (you could substitute for other syrups, but trust us, our syrup is great!)
  • ½ cup of chopped up vegan stroopwafel or vegan coffee stroopwafel
  • Piece of stroopwafel cut in a square for serving

Instructions

Stroopwafel crumbs on the rim of the glass
1. Spread some syrup with your fingers onto the rim of your glass.
2. Crush some crumbs to super fine sandy consistency.
3. Press the rim of the glass into the crumbs like you would with salt for a margarita.
Stroopwafel milkshake
1. Add the milk, syrup and ice cream to the blender, pour in the milk first and make sure your ice cream is scoopable (not rock hard).
2. Blend it all together and before completely smooth, add the stroopwafel crumbs.
3. Blend a little more to make a smooth consistency.
4. Pour the shake into the high glass.
With the rim and a stroopwafel triangle it looks fantastic! Wait till you taste the first sip!
